Zocalo Advertising Campaign
Challenge
Create a series of ads that make Zocalo a destination for food, drinks, and parties. The restaurant suffered from two stigmas:
1: Zocalo is a tapas bar in the small town Charlottesville, VA (One of the first such Spanish infused restaurants in town causing Zocalo to seem overwhelming and off-putting to some).
2: Zocalo is perceived as fine dining due to it’s high-end modern interior design
Action
Create an ad that will spark the interest of trend setters and alpha consumers. Without directly stating, imply Zocalo is a great place for post work and late night drinks. Show engaging imagery of the interior and avoid sterile wide angle shots.
Resolution
Deliver 2 ads that play off of each other.
Ad 1: Focus on drinks and dinner
Ad 2: Focus on private events
